Meet the Staff

CHARLES P. ROSS BDS

Studied dentistry at Dundee University and qualified in 1974. He is a caring dental practitioner and is happy to treat anyone and everyone for all aspects of dental treatment.

JIM FOTHERINGHAM BDS Graduated from Birmingham University Dental School in 1976. He worked in the Community Dental Service based in Carlisle, Cumbria, for 5 years and worked at the City General Hospital's Orthodontic Department as a postgraduate assistant. Has practices in Brampton and Alston where he is mainly based.

STEFAN MALISZEWSKI BDS Trained in Perth, Western Australia and qualified in 1997. "I came to England in September 1998 with a view to furthering my professional development. My time in Carlisle has been interesting, instructive and has broadened my experience."

FELICITY KAYE The longest serving member of staff. She has been the Practice Manager since the surgery was opened in 1980 by her husband, Marek. After his death in 1995 she has remained at her post to help maintain the continuity of the practice. Felicity is a qualified Practice Manager having passed her exams and become a Certified Dental Practice Manager in 1998. She is on the committee of the Cumbria Dental Practice Managers Association.

JANE GRAHAM Assistant Practice Manager, has been with the practice since July 1990. Jane has a history of working with the dental profession since 1982. Starting as a Dental Surgery Assistant, then Receptionist and now her present position. Through the years, Jane has participated in the Dental Surgery Assistant's course and is attending a course in Dental Practice Management.

MICHELLE IRVING Senior Receptionist, started at the practice in June 1996. She has passed a Receptionist course with distinction and is about to sit her Dental Nurse examination which will give her National Qualification in Dental Nursing. Michelle completed an GNVQ Advanced in Leisure and Tourism and has also done a course in computer studies.

ADELE RAMSDEN, Receptionist, started at the practice July 1999. Adele has worked in the dental profession since 1992. She has previously completed the Dental Nurse course and is about to take her exam which will give her National Qualification in Dental Nursing.

GEMMA WARD Senior Dental Nurse, started at the practice in October 1997. She is currently attending a course at College which will lead to her being a qualified Dental Nurse. Gemma has completed a course in Communication Studies and an Advanced GNVQ in Business and Finance.

EMMA WALKER Dental Nurse, joined the practice in January 1998. Emma is attending a course at College for her National Certificate in Dental Nursing. She has a GNVQ in Health and Social Care and an NVQ in Care.

SARAH TEASDSALE, Dental Nurse, joined the practice in August 1999. Sarah has had 4 years experience working in the dental profession. She is attending the course at College for her National Certificate in Dental Nursing.

KATE BULLER, Dental Nurse, has only been with us since 3rd of June 2000. Kate will be attending the college for her course in Dental Nursing. She has a GNVQ in Art & Design.

EMMA EVANS, Dental Nurse, has just recently joined the team. Emma has had 1 years experience working in the dental profession and will be attending college for her course in Dental Nursing.

TRAVIS RANKIN, BScBDSc, trained in Perth, Western Australia and qualified in 1997. He came to England in March 1999.

TOM ZIMMERMANN, BDSC, trained in Perth, Western Australia and qualified in 1997. He came to England in July 2000.

JANET BOUSIE, Filing clerk, has many years library experience. She is able to maintain order in our filing system. lanet is married with a teenage family, she is an active Brownie Guider, enjoys reading, cooking and gardening.
