- At Aglionby Street Dental Practice our aims are:
To help you maintain a high standard of dental health and to work
hard to achieve the best quality dental treatment.
To cater for a wide variety of patient needs
To help you overcome your phobias and fears.
|
Some Of the dentists in these practices are in attendance on a part
time basis. It is our policy for each patient to see one dentist on
a continuing basis. However, if this is not possible, alternative
arrangements will be made for you to see someone else within the practice.
If you have not attended the practice for over 15 months you will
need to re- register. Children are always welcome however young they
are. We aim to prevent dental disease rather than to treat it at a
later date.

The NHS provides all the treatment necessary to secure and maintain
your oral health. There are some treatments (mainly cosmetic) which
are not available under the NHS and you may choose to have these done
privately. It is our practice philosophy to promote dental health
at all times. We therefore we recommend regular 6 monthly check-ups
and these will also help keep down the cost of your treatment.
NHS charges are the same as any other NHS practice. A patient can
be asked to pay charges at the start or during a course of treatment.
Please be prepared to do this or when asked to do so by a member of
staff. Some NHS patients are entitled to full or partial exemption
from charges. If you think you might qualify, please ask.
|
From time to time we may ask you to fill in a Medical History Questionnaire
to assist in our diagnosis and treatment. This is confidential. If
you change your name, address or telephone number please let us know
as soon as possible. This helps keep our records up to date and our
recall system more efficient.
|
|
We always try to see patients at the appointed time. If you are kept
waiting, there is normally a good reason. Please be patient. If you
have to cancel an appointment we require 24 hours notice. This enables
us to make alternative arrangements - perhaps to see someone in pain.
There may be a charge for appointments broken without sufficient notice.
If you are in pain during surgery hours, please telephone and every
effort will be made to see you as soon as possible. If you are in
need of the urgent dental advice outside surgery hours, telephone
or emergency number and arrangements will be made as soon as possible.
|
For your convenience, we do have a ground floor surgery. We hope
our surgeries and waiting area have been equipped to create a comfortable
and relaxing atmosphere. We are always happy to hear your comments.
